This week, we welcomed fantastic groups of YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg campers to the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club!

The campers got a crash course in shuffleboard, quickly learning their cues and tangs from their biscuits and discs.

After learning the basics, campers enjoyed friendly games, practiced their new skills, and discovered why shuffleboard has been bringing people together for generations.

They were enthusiastic learners and impressed our staff and volunteers with how quickly they picked up the rules of the game—even mastering scorekeeping!

Thank you to the YMCA campers and staff for spending part of your week with us. We loved sharing our historic club and the game we love. The future generation of St. Pete shufflers looks bright!

🌈 Shuffle with Pride is this Friday! 🌈

As we get ready for another Shuffle with Pride, we're looking back at some favorite moments from past celebrations at the Club.

Shuffle with Pride brings together friends, neighbors, and first-time visitors for an evening of community, connection, and shuffleboard. It's a chance to celebrate the spirit of Pride while supporting an important cause.

The event benefits PFLAG, which serves the greater Tampa Bay LGBTQ+ community. Proceeds from the event's silent auction and beverage sales will help support their work in Safety Harbor + Greater Pinellas.

Join us for food, music, shuffleboard, and a great evening with friends.

🏳️‍🌈 Pride Month is a celebration of authenticity, community, and belonging. 🏳️‍🌈

One of the things we love most about shuffleboard is who shows up.

On any given night, you'll find students, retirees, artists, engineers, lifelong locals, recent transplants, first-time players, and national champions sharing the same courts. Different backgrounds. Different stories. One game.

For more than 100 years, people have gathered at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club to connect through that game. Today, we're grateful for the diverse community of players, volunteers, members, and visitors who make this place what it is—and for the reminder that the courts are better when everyone feels they belong.

Join us for Shuffle With Pride on Friday, June 12th at 5:30pm for an evening of shuffleboard, community, and fundraising benefiting PFLAG Safety Harbor & Greater Pinellas.

102 years. Countless champions. One trophy wall. 🏆

Recently Club staff took down every trophy on the Club's trophy wall, gave them a thorough dusting, and refreshed the display to let these pieces of shuffleboard history shine.

The wall features trophies spanning from the late 1920s to today, with some of our oldest awards displayed at the top. It's fascinating to see how trophy designs have evolved over the decades—from beautifully engraved cups, to ornate plaques, gold shuffler figurines, that give way to more modern styles of recent years.

While the trophies may look different from one era to the next, the reason they were earned remains the same: great competition, sportsmanship, and the joy of a hard-fought win.

Next time you're at the Club, take a moment to look them over. You might spot a familiar name—or discover a piece of shuffleboard history you hadn't noticed before. ✨🏆
