On October 8, our 2026 Student Ambassadors, Ella, Elise, and Cole, had the opportunity to share highlights from their summer exchange experience with the City of St. Petersburg, City Council!

We are so proud of these three students and the enthusiasm and thoughtfulness they brought to their presentation. If you missed it, you can watch it here (starting at the 1:35:35 mark): https://stpete.granicus.com/player/clip/7349?view_id=14&redirect=true

A special thank you to the City Council, City of St. Petersburg staff, and the many local volunteers and organizations who help make this immersive cultural exchange possible each year.

St. Petersburg and Takamatsu, Japan, have shared a sister city relationship since 1961 through the Sister Cities International initiative. Programs like this continue to strengthen the friendships, cultural connections, and spirit of citizen diplomacy between our communities. 🇺🇸🇯🇵

🌎✨ SPIFFS has a new home!

We’re excited to be settling into our new office at the Enoch D. Davis Center in South St. Pete, a longtime community hub for programs, services, and cultural activities.

Named for Rev. Enoch D. Davis, a respected St. Petersburg civic and civil rights leader, the center has a strong tradition of bringing people together. That makes it a fitting home for SPIFFS and our work celebrating the many cultures that make up our community.

We’re looking forward to new connections, conversations, and programs from our new home base. Regular SPIFFS office hours at the Enoch Davis Center will begin in October, so stay tuned for more details!

🌍 We’re excited for this next chapter!
