As another VITA season comes to a close, we wrapped it up the best way possible—with a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon! 🎉

This season was filled with dedication, teamwork, and a shared commitment to serving our community, and it wouldn’t have been possible without our incredible volunteers. From long hours to unwavering support, your impact truly made a difference.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped us celebrate such a successful season. We’re also grateful to those who took the time to organize this special event—it was a wonderful way to reflect, connect, and show appreciation.

Dr. Nichole Pena-Miller, UWS’ Senior Director of Financial Security, presented our latest ALICE data Thursday at Congresswoman Kathy Castor’s town hall in St. Petersburg Thursday evening. Earlier in the day, Nichole gave Congresswoman Castor a tour of our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program at the Enoch Davis Center in St. Petersburg.

The visit reminds us that this year's Tax Filing deadline is April 15. It's not too late to take advantage of our free tax preparation program. Visit uwsvita.org.
