Today, we provided 32 showers on an extremely hot day, and Lindsey was our very last guest.

She arrived late, but instead of giving up, she patiently waited until the very end. And she waited with such a beautiful attitude—kind, grateful, and full of grace. ❤️

Lindsey received more than just a shower today. She got a haircut, a chance to wash, refresh, and feel renewed. She wanted to share how much it meant to her, but she was a little camera shy. And that’s okay. Sometimes the most powerful stories don’t need to be captured on camera.

The truth about living on the streets is that homelessness is about so much more than not having a place to lay your head. It can also be about how people treat you based on how clean you are, how you smell, or how you look.

Today, Lindsey was reminded that she belongs.

A shower may seem like a simple thing to many of us, but for someone experiencing homelessness, it can restore dignity, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

This was Eric’s first time showering with us, and he came out refreshed, renewed, and filled with so much joy! ❤️

Every Third Wednesday, we partner with Travis Doodles Worth & Purpose to serve our friends in the community. Together, we provide an amazing meal, haircuts, showers, and a beautiful worship service.

It’s so much more than a shower. It’s about creating a place where people feel seen, valued, loved, and reminded that they matter. 🙏❤️

We are so grateful for partnerships like this that allow us to serve our community together!

It’s always a blessing to know that what we do matters more than we could have ever imagined. ❤️

Offering someone a shower is about so much more than a clean body. It’s about hope. It’s about reminding someone that they are seen, valued, and loved. It’s another opportunity to help someone believe there is a way forward—to get to the other side of whatever they’re facing.

Sometimes, a shower can be the beginning of a renewed sense of dignity, hope, and possibility.

Our faithful Thursday team ❤️

Every Thursday, these incredible volunteers show up and serve our friends with compassion, kindness, and love. Because of their willingness to say YES week after week, ShowerUp is able to provide more than just a shower—we provide dignity, hope, and love.

ShowerUp is a place where people are seen. A place where someone can feel cared for. A place where there is an ear to listen, a heart to encourage, and a reminder that they matter.

Our volunteers are what make that possible. I am so incredibly grateful for every person who continues to show up and serve our friends.

Thank you for being faithful. Thank you for loving people so well. And thank you for being the hands and feet of hope in our community. ❤️

DeAndre’s first time at ShowerUp was such a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. ❤️

He actually called me early that morning just to make sure he knew where he could get a shower. When we told him where we would be, he was so excited! He showed up with a friend, and both of them were able to enjoy a nice, cool, refreshing shower on a hot Florida day.

Sometimes, we get to be the people in between—standing in the gap for someone experiencing homelessness. A little bit of hope. A little bit of joy. A little bit of dignity. And sometimes, simply the gift of feeling refreshed.

We are so grateful for every opportunity to remind our friends that they are seen, valued, and loved. 💙

This was the first time I’ve ever heard someone say a shower was “delicious!” 😂❤️

He told us it was the best shower ever, and honestly, this is what makes it all worth it. 🥹

Today, we provided 12 showers in the Thonotosassa area! We are so grateful the rain held off and that we were able to show up, serve, and be a blessing to our community.

Sometimes it’s the simplest things—a hot shower, a clean towel, and being reminded that someone cares—that can make all the difference.

We are so thankful for every opportunity to serve. ❤️🚿

Every Sunday, we have the privilege of partnering with Bread of Refuge as they serve a hot meal to our friends in the community, while we provide showers and a little extra dignity and care. ❤️

This is one of those locations where, as soon as we pull up, our friends are already waiting for us—hopeful that we’re going to make it and praying that the weather won’t keep us from coming.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to show up, serve, and remind our friends that they are seen, valued, and loved.

Thank you, bread of refuge, for continuing to partner with us and serve our community alongside us. We are truly blessed to be here. 🙏❤️

Today at our Clearwater event, we provided 17 showers and connected 5 of our friends with health screenings. ❤️

We are so grateful for a friend from Episcopal Church of the Ascension, who wanted to bless our guests by providing ShowerUp shirts. Our friends absolutely loved them! 👕❤️

We love the Clearwater community and the incredible partnerships we’ve built here. There are so many people with beautiful hearts who are willing to come together to serve those in need and remind each person that they are seen, valued, and loved.

One of our favorite things is hearing from first-time volunteers and seeing how serving impacts their lives. Time and time again, they leave encouraged, inspired, and already asking when they can come back.
