This Sunday 6/14 from 2-4pm your friendly neighborhood PPA will be at Carl Schleck Park with free food, clothing, first aid, & hygiene supplies. We’ll also have free Plan B & Narcan, over-the-counter medications that can cost $40-$50 per unit, as well as condoms & test strips. All free to anyone who may need it. Every 2nd Sunday weather permitting.
If you don’t need any basic necessities, please feel free to come out anyways & learn more about the work we do! PPA has been providing mutual aid to community members in need since 2020. We also accept donations of non-perishable food items if anyone would like to stop by & support our work!

TODAY at 1:30pm both in-person & virtually. St. Pete City Council is scheduled to vote on whether or not to conduct a feasibility study exploring alternatives to Duke Energy. Duke currently holds a monopoly on electric in Tampa Bay & is notorious for overcharging despite their subpar service. If you make a single late payment, you lose your deposit of $150. We’ve heard stories of folks paying Duke Energy $500-$1,000 a MONTH for electric, some of which live in ONE STORY FAMILY HOMES. In a country where over half of Americans are one missed paycheck away from financial devastation, public power could literally save lives.

🚨Time sensitive🚨 3 Tampa Bay mutual aid organizations- who’ve been providing vital services to unhoused & vulnerable community members for years- are in need of space to keep their mutual aid programs healthy & thriving ❤️‍🔥🙏 All 3 orgs are donation-based, which means every dollar we save on rent goes to our programs that feed & clothe our community. If you don’t know of a space that any of the 3 orgs can use, please kindly share this post or make a donation if you can-

Today is a wondorous day! International Women's Day reminds us to appreciate the women in our lives and how with you we would be no where. Thank you to all the mothers and caretakers whether you be q***r, nonwhite, or religous/areligious.♥️🌞🌛
