Go Beyond the Bay with us ✈️

Tampa Bay Watch and Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, Florida representatives recently traveled to Philadelphia to attend and present at the American Alliance of Museums Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo! Our Executive Director of Education, Leah Biery, and our Marine Operations Manager, Aubrey Stevens, recently teamed up with the passionate MFA education team for an inspiring trip—presenting “From Moran to Mangroves: A Partner Program that Sails Beyond the Galleries.”

This presentation extends further than our Discovery Center, showing how collaborative & immersive community experiences, like our Sunset Art & Nature Tours, can make waves far beyond the bay. 🌊

Big things happen when you come together 💙

This Spring, over 880 ORBs were built by 731 volunteers over 26 days—that's over 88.5 tons of shoreline protection ready to be installed.

This means more shore stabilization in vulnerable areas, protection from wave erosion, and increased habitats for oyster population growth in our bay 🦪

Each ORB creates a home for 300 new oysters on average, which in turn filter about 15,000 gallons of water. Multiply that by 884 ORBs...now THAT is progress in motion to continue restoring the bay everyday 🌊

📅 Our next build season opens in October
👉 Save the date + come be part of the growing impact

Let’s keep restoring our bay—together 🤝
