At CAE our mission is to accommodate the needs of individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities that we serve in a respectful, supportive, and safe environment. Since 2002, The Center for Autism Education (CAE) has been a vital resource for children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities, particularly those facing extreme and challenging behaviors. We provide compassi
onate, individualized support through two key programs:
Instructional Day Facility
Our school-age program serves students in grades K-12, providing one-on-one (1:1) or two-on-one (2:1) support as outlined in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). With a team of certified teachers, therapists, and board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs), we create specialized learning programs tailored to each student's needs. On-site services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech/language therapy, delivered as specified in their IEP. Support Services
Our Support Services department offers Adult Day Services and Behavior Support Services, both funded by the Medicaid Waiver. Participants engage in volunteer opportunities and community outings to enhance social and life skills. Behavior Support Services provide individualized strategies to help individuals develop positive behaviors and improve their quality of life. Currently, we proudly serve families in St. Charles, St. Louis, Warren, Lincoln, Jefferson, Franklin, and Madison counties, with plans to expand into the greater St. Louis area and other regions across Missouri.
