The Center for Autism Education

The Center for Autism Education The Center for Autism Education is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Adult Day Services focus on increasing independence in all aspects of daily living.

At CAE our mission is to accommodate the needs of individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities that we serve in a respectful, supportive, and safe environment. Since 2002, The Center for Autism Education (CAE) has been a vital resource for children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities, particularly those facing extreme and challenging behaviors. We provide compassi

onate, individualized support through two key programs:

Instructional Day Facility
Our school-age program serves students in grades K-12, providing one-on-one (1:1) or two-on-one (2:1) support as outlined in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). With a team of certified teachers, therapists, and board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs), we create specialized learning programs tailored to each student's needs. On-site services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech/language therapy, delivered as specified in their IEP. Support Services
Our Support Services department offers Adult Day Services and Behavior Support Services, both funded by the Medicaid Waiver. Participants engage in volunteer opportunities and community outings to enhance social and life skills. Behavior Support Services provide individualized strategies to help individuals develop positive behaviors and improve their quality of life. Currently, we proudly serve families in St. Charles, St. Louis, Warren, Lincoln, Jefferson, Franklin, and Madison counties, with plans to expand into the greater St. Louis area and other regions across Missouri.

🚨 Advocacy Update 🚨

The Missouri legislature has restored critical funding for Day Habilitation, Self-Directed Services, and Vocational Rehabilitation in the FY2027 budget β€” services that are incredibly important to the individuals and families we serve every day at CAE.

Now, Governor Kehoe has until June 30 to sign the budget into law, but he can act at any time.

We are partnering with Starling Missouri to encourage our community to speak up and help protect these vital services. πŸ’™

Please take a moment to send your message before June 15 using the quick and easy link below:

Congratulations, advocates! Thanks to the hard work by hundreds and hundreds of people like you, the Missouri legislature understood how important it was to restore critical funding for people with developmental disabilities in the FY2027 budget!...

Looking for a way to help your community? πŸ’Ž

By joining the CAE GEM Club β€” our Give Every Month program β€” you help provide ongoing support for children, teens, and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities right here in our community.

One of our students recently helped pack up some of the thank-you gifts we send to our GEM Club members each year, and it was such a sweet reminder of how much this support means to our CAE community. These monthly gifts help create more experiences, more opportunities, and more support for the children, teens, and adults we serve every day.

No gift is too small β€” every monthly donation helps make a real difference for the individuals and families who rely on CAE.

πŸ’™ Happy National Nurses Week! πŸ’™

We are so thankful for Nurse Chrishna here at our School Program. While she may be new to CAE, it already feels like she’s always been part of our family.

Chrishna works closely with one of our students each day, and we are so grateful to have her as part of our team. We appreciate everything she does β€” this week and every week!
