The 10-78 Project is a Non-Profit organization founded, developed, and operated by Law Enforcement Officers who have experienced critical incidents or Officer Involved Shootings. The Goal of The 10-78 Project is to provide a “Rapid Response” to Law Enforcment Officers and their families providing the following resources within 48 Hours of our notification:
Emotional Support: Provide a compassion
ate and non-judgmental environment where officers and their families can express their emotions, concerns, and fears without fear of stigma or reprisal. Practical Assistance: Offer tangible assistance in the form of flowers, a personalized card, gift cards to cover meals, and a comprehensive list of resources tailored to the officer's needs. Accessible Resources: Compile a comprehensive database of mental health professionals, support groups, legal resources, and other relevant services to guide officers and their families towards the right support networks. Holistic Healing: Promote overall well-being by facilitating access to mental health services, counseling, peer support, and self-care resources to ensure officers and their families receive the necessary tools to cope with trauma and foster resilience. The 10-78 Project is committed to foster partnerships with local law enforcement agencies, mental health organizations, and community stakeholders to raise awareness about the challenges faced by officers and encourage collective support for their well-being. Additionally, we are developing educational programs and training initiatives to equip officers, their families, and the broader community with the knowledge and understanding necessary to effectively support those impacted by Officer Involved Shootings.
