- Nicollet Lodge #54 is proud to award eight $1,000 Scholarships to graduating High School Seniors from the area. A reception in their honor will be held on Tuesday, May 5th at the Lodge.
- Our Spring BBQ will be held on May 25th at the Masonic Shelter in Minnesota Square.

Fire Suppression Tool (FST)

Last week we shared the incredible story of a fire suppression device donated by our lodge saving a local home from total loss.

This week, Deputy Drew Link visited Nicollet Lodge #54 to share the full story, including bodycam footage of the device in action.

Seeing the charred device next to a brand new replacement really drives home what these tools can do. We were proud to present Deputy Link with a new unit to keep him equipped for future emergencies.

We are grateful for this update from Nicollet County highlighting the impact of strong community partnerships. Proud to have worked alongside the Red Men Club of St. Peter to help ensure our deputies had the right tools when they were needed most.

Today, Nicollet Lodge No. 54 conducted the Installation of Officers for the 2026 Masonic year.

The installation was held in due form and conducted by Installing Officer WB Derrick Fountain, with WB Cliff Isley serving as Installation Marshal. Brothers of the lodge gathered to witness the formal installation of both elected and appointed officers who will guide Nicollet Lodge in the year ahead.

The Lodge will hold an Open Installation of our incoming Master of the Lodge, Michael Finstad on Saturday, January 3, starting at 6:00pm.

At our final stated meeting of the year, Nicollet Lodge, together with the Red Men Club of St Peter, donated 3 Fire Suppression Tools to the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office.

We were honored to make this presentation to Chief Deputy Aaron Petersen, who was recently appointed by the County Board to serve as Nicollet County Sheriff beginning December 31, 2025. Sheriff Petersen has spent more than two decades serving our community and previously joined us during our first Fire Suppression Tool donation and presentation last December.

Fire Suppression Tools are lightweight and fast to deploy, making them especially valuable for first responders who are often first on scene. With a simple pull of a pin and toss into a burning structure, the device suppresses fire in seconds and rapidly reduces interior temperatures, creating safer conditions for rescue while helping limit property damage.

In addition to these 3 devices, the Lodge and Red Men Club have also purchased an additional Fire Suppression Tool for the Fire Department, which will be formally presented in March during a training and media event.

With this donation, our total Fire Suppression Tool contributions since last December now stand at 16 devices placed into local public safety service.

Nicollet Lodge is proud to support those who protect our community and to continue investing in practical tools that help save lives.
