UPDATE, 1/16/26:
Due to a lack of snow and dangerously cold temperatures forecasted for this weekend, the Nicollet County snowmobile safety class scheduled for Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Fairgrounds has been cancelled.
We are hoping to schedule another class if/when conditions improve; however, a new date has not yet been set. Please watch our page for updates. Thank you for your understanding, as safety remains our top priority.

The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a Youth Snowmobile Safety Class to help young riders learn safe, responsible snowmobile operation.
📍 Location: Nicollet County Fairgrounds – Johnson Hall

🕐 Time: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Student’s full legal name and address
Student's date of birth
Parent/guardian name and phone number
Emergency contact name and phone number
Requirements:
• Students must be 11 years old by the class date
• Must bring online course completion voucher and a copy of the student's birth certificate to class
• Parent/guardian must attend the first 30 minutes to complete paperwork
• Students must bring a helmet and dress for cold weather.
Two snowmobiles will be provided; students may bring their own if they meet FIT requirements.
Class size is limited to 25 students.
