We were honored to have Representative Samantha Vang join our annual Hmong New Year at Gustavus. Her contributions and inspiring words throughout the night made an impact on the Gustavus community. Last night we had the privilege of having Dr. Calvin Yang, Dictumdose, as our keynote speaker for our Hmong New Year Celebration Week. Dr. Calvin Yang's speech was not only engaging, but impactful to our Gustavus community. As a prominent public figure in the Hmong community, we appreciate his time and the wisdom that he instilled on us. Again, thank you!

Our Hmong New Year Celebration Week will consist of various activities such as a guest speaker, Hmong cuisine, and much more! Come join the CIE and HACO of a night of music, dancing, and snacks at our "Reflections in the Water Gala" happening Saturday, March 12th from 8-11pm at Alumni Hall.

Dress in your fanciest formal attire and have some fun with your friends! All are Welcome to Attend! Face Mask are Required!

Its almost Halloween 👻 hope everyone is in the festive mood to celebrate because HACO is bringing you HALLOWEEN BASH!

We will have lots of delicious 🤤 food and games like Squid Games - Dalgona Candy challenge and costume contest!

Tij Laug
English Translation: "Older Brother"

Tij Laug is used by a younger male addressing an older male. Hmong Culture is very family tied regardless of blood.
