In this 28th year of the organization, our conference will focus on refugees and asylum seekers. We believe that there is not enough recognition or education surrounding refugees' hardships. In fact,
many people are still unaware of the large refugee population in Minnesota. In our conference, we will examine the path of a refugee and the discrimination and dismissal they face. We will highlight how refugees are mistreated and the mental and emotional hurdles they encounter as we explore the topic through the lenses of racial injustice, mental health, and policy issues. We are particularly passionate about addressing involuntary migration's impacts on the refuge. We want to underline the importance of
advocacy for refugees and asylum seekers and highlight the need for policymaking and support.
