Scam Alert:

St. Pauls Police Department would like to alert the public to another social media scam. On November 23rd at 1:30 pm a Facebook Post was shared on St. Pauls Yard sale referencing a child by the name of Tyler Griffin who went missing on November 22nd on the way to school. The person who shared it was claiming to be his mother.

After investigating this claim, St. Pauls Police Department concluded that this page was created by a scammer. The picture used was a child who actually went missing in another state in 2012, but was later found safe.

Please be careful when sharing any post from yard sale pages, St. Pauls Police Department will make the public aware to any missing children or any other crimes that occur inside the city limits, and Robeson County Sheriff’s Department will do the same.

Please don’t be a victim to scams on social media.

2022 Winter Coat Drive

The winter months can be a struggle for low income families. The weather can be relentless and dangerous. It is hard to think of anyone heading out during these days without a proper coat, especially a child.

St. Pauls Police Department will be collecting coats for school age children from elementary to high school. We are in need of clean, new or gently used coats, jackets, warm scarves, and gloves. These items will be distributed to those in need.

All donations can be dropped off at St. Pauls Police Department from November 18th - December 31st.

If you have any questions please contact SRO Javier Lopez at 910-865-5155 or by email: [email protected]
