Past Projects:
The Charles Avenue bikeway was the first project that led Friendly Streets to emerge through community engagement and advocacy for neighbor-led planning of a new bike boulevard on Charles in conjunction with the construction of the Green Line light rail corridor. We partnered with the Hamline Midway Coalition and Frogtown Neighborhood Association for five block parties in 2011. Charles is now under construction and is on its way to becoming a convenient and safe route for bikes as well as a safer, friendlier community space for residents.
