Meet our new Metro Parent Guide, Kerilee!
About Kerilee:
I am a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) teacher beginning my fourth year in education. My passion for supporting deaf and hard of hearing students began on a personal level when my daughter was born deaf. She is now almost six years old, attends the Metro Deaf School, and uses ASL as her primary language.
Her journey inspired me to learn American Sign Language and become more involved in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Through that experience, I decided to pursue graduate school to earn my DHH degree and teaching license so I could support students and families in meaningful ways.
In addition to teaching, I serve on the board for the Minnesota Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children Family Camp, where I help support connections and resources for families within the DHH community.
Please give her a warm welcome!
