Union healthcare careers start here. ✊🏽🏥

We're celebrating the graduates of our first Long-Term Care Foundations cohort, a collaborative program helping Karen and Karenni speakers prepare for rewarding union careers in Minnesota's long-term care industry.

Through hands-on career preparation, workplace readiness training, and strong community support, graduates are building pathways to good-paying jobs with family-supporting wages, benefits, worker protections, and opportunities for advancement. Some graduates are already pursuing union long-term care employment, while others are continuing their journey through CNA training and beyond.

After 6 weeks of learning about different ingredients and creating healthy dishes through our partnership with of Minnesota Extension , our students wrapped up Cooking Matters with a cook-off!

For the final challenge, students recreated a dish they learned over the past six weeks, making sure it was both healthy and delicious.

A huge thank you to Mayor Kaohly Her and the Saint Paul Police Department for joining us as our judges. So proud of our students and all they accomplished! ❤️👏

This week, we celebrated the end of another school year with a community BBQ alongside our students, staff, mentors, and partners. Between shared meals, games, and conversations, we took time to recognize our graduating seniors and present them with gift baskets to celebrate this important milestone.
