Do you have an Edgcumbe mini mite or mite interested in learning more about girls’ hockey with the MSP Starwhals Hockey? Join us this Saturday!

Calling all District 1 skaters interested in playing girls' hockey 📣

This weekend, we are hosting our annual Skate with the Starwhals event for Mites and Mini-Mites girls from Edgcumbe, Langford, and Titans, to join Starwhals players and coaches for an hour of hockey fun.

Parents will have an opportunity to learn more about the Starwhals Girls Co-op available to their kids. Our goal is to immerse families in the program and show what being a part of the Starwhals community is all about!

Location: Ken Yackel West Side Arena
Date/Time: Feb 28th from 2-3pm

We'll plan to have cocoa and treats after the skate for the kids. Bring a friend and join us!

It was a fun day and a fun jamboree!

Our Mite & 8U teams played in their final jamboree of the 2025-2026 season today!

The D1 Festival was supposed to be hosted at the Northeast Ice Arena, but after the arena's unexpected closure, the association presidents worked together to quickly move the entire weekend to Ken Yackel-West Side Arena. This arena pivot really exemplifies the way D1 teams collaborate to make hockey accessible and available to all kids in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

“The youth programs that feed us, the St. Paul Capitals, Edgcumbe and Langford Park, have good numbers coming up.” Auran said.

We’re excited to watch St. Paul Hockey take shape. And to watch those former Edgcumbe players take the ice! We’ve got more coming!

The St. Paul co-op’s varsity team features 12 Central High students, six from Highland Park, three from Johnson and one each from Humboldt and Como Park.
