Our community is witnessing remarkable progress, with the HCF enthusiastically backing youth sports and community-wide events through three new projects partially funded by our foundation, St. Paul Economic Development, and the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce. The installation of a new scoreboard and divider at the civic center marks a significant improvement. Furthermore, the downtown area will soon feature a brand new sound system, perfect for daily use and community events.

The Howard County Foundation is so pleased to present a check to the Howard County Agricultural Society for $33,000 to go toward building a new Education Pavilion in the spot where they are receiving the check. The funds are matched by the Agriculture Society

Representing the Howard County Foundation is current president, Donna Placke. The check is accepted by Jerry Thompson (Ag Society President), Dawn Kreider (Ag Society Board Member), Jim Fanta (Secretary for Agriculture Society), Brandon Matlock (Ag Society VP), and Cody Larson (Ag Society Board Member).

We are so thankful for all those who attended “YOUR LEGACY, OUR FUTURE” on Sunday, November 16th. It was our goal to raise awareness of several philanthropic organizations in our county, and we hope we achieved that and a little bit more! A strong early childhood and childcare program are vital to a thriving community like ours. These programs give children a solid foundation for learning and social development, help parents stay in the workforce, and strengthen the local economy. These and many other reasons are why the Howard Co Foundation was pleased to recently present the St. Paul Early Childhood Foundation with a check for $100,000.00 for improvements to the Kid Academy space.

In small towns especially, investing in our youngest residents is one of the most powerful ways we can secure a bright and sustainable future for everyone!
