Friday night St. Paul Fire dispatchers received several calls for a dwelling fire on the city's north end. Engine 18 arrived to a 1 1/2 story home on the 1500 block of Cumberland St with fire showing from the roof. Engine 18 pulled their line for an interior attack. They were backed up by Engine 22 and Ladder 18 began a search and put their stick to the roof. Chief 2 took command and had Engine 8 get a water supply to 18's and 22's. Ladder 22 and Squad 1 assisted with searches, Chief 3 safety, Rescue 3 was RIT and Engine 17 on deck. Crews reported they had an attic fire and were pulling ceiling to hit the fire. Ladder 18 and Engine 17 opened up the roof and hit hot spots. All searches were negative and crews performed overhaul and ventilated the home.
