Saturday afternoon St. Paul Fire dispatched companies to a garage fire on the cities north end. Engine 8 arrived and reported a a detached garage and 2 cars burning. Engine 8 pulled their line for fire attack and next in Engine 22 got a water supply and pulled a 2nd line off of 8's. Ladder 22 assisted with opening up the garage, Chief 2 took command, Engine 18 checked the home to see if they had any fire extension and Rescue 3 assisted with fire attack. Crews knocked down the main garage fire and cars and began checking for extension. Engine 18 found no extension into the home but crews reported for in the attic of the garage. Crews cut a hole in the garage to hit the fire in the attic.

Assignment: Engine 8, 22, 18 Ladder 22, Rescue 3 and Chief 2
