Thank you to all volunteers that helped this morning with the annual Fall Cleanup! We cut and bagged a pickup load of brush, watered young trees and collected approximately 80 pounds of food items for our local food shelves. We appreciate you! If you missed this morning, stay tuned to Planting Day next spring when we’ll plant more trees and pollinator-friendly flowers on campus. Nice job, everyone!

We send thanks to our partners at Saint Paul Parks & Rec and City of Saint Paul for the wonderful improvements to the outdoor basketball and tennis courts, as well as new seating and landscapes! Looking great. Equally important is the volunteer work by Central students and parents to water trees, remove weeds, and pick up trash. Their volunteer work to build the new playground at Dunning is greatly appreciated, too! Big changes. We are looking forward to the renovation and new Hall of Fame Plaza coming in spring 2026 to Toni Stone Stadium.

St. Paul is greening up and we’d love to have many helping hands at Central’s annual Plant & Mulch Day this Saturday, May 24 (9-11:30 a.m.)! We’ll continue to beautify our outdoor campus together. Students, parents, staff and neighbors — all are welcome! We’ll plant flowers, spread wood mulch and do some raking and bagging. Tools and refreshments provided. Bring gloves. We hope to see you Saturday morning!

Did you know that Central has a beautiful, thriving butterfly garden? It was planted by students several years ago after receiving a wonderful grant from Monarch Joint Venture. In other areas around the plaza, we’ve also planted native milkweed and many pollinator-friendly flowers to support the feeding and growing of the butterfly habitat. The result? More butterflies fluttering around the Central plaza for everyone to enjoy! We look forward to working with students again this spring to care for, share tips and enhance our gardens!
