THE TIMING IS PERFECT. Next Thursday evening while we're celebrating the Twin Cities Premiere of our newest documentary—Estuaries in the Balance: Freshwater Nurseries of Lake Superior—the lake sturgeon will be spawning in Superior's St. Louis River estuary. The incredibly long-lived, huge, and gentle sturgeon, which has swum in oceans, lakes, and rivers world-wide for the last 150M years, is an important character in the story. Celebrate Earth Day and help care for our planet! 🌍

From April 15–30, join the Adopt-a-Drain Photo Challenge by showing how you care for your storm drain and your local environment. It’s a simple way to make a difference and protect clean waterways.💧

How to participate:
-Snap a photo while cleaning or checking your drain (take before & after shots, selfies, or photos with family—even pets are welcome!)
-Don’t have a drain yet? Adopt one and join in!

Submit your entry by:
-Emailing your photo with your name to [email protected] and/or
-Posting on social media and tagging -a-Drain

Prizes:
Everyone who shares a photo is entered into a drawing. Ten winners will receive a prize pack with an Adopt-a-Drain hat, water bottle, and t-shirt.
