Stories of Resilience
Academic excellence is only part of the story. Two of our visually impaired students demonstrated exceptional determination this semester:
Teleka · 2.82 GPA
Despite a serious leg injury requiring weeks of hospitalization, Teleka attended her final exams immediately upon recovery and successfully passed the semester.

Sessen · 2.25 GPA
Overcoming ongoing health complications, Sessen has reached her second year in Social Work — a milestone Dr. Tefera describes as truly encouraging.

“Investing in young women is building the future family and the nation as well.”
— Dr. Melsew Tefera, Ethiopia Country Director

When you invest in these students, you are not simply providing financial assistance — you are creating future leaders, scientists, and physicians. You are making visible history.
Thank you for your patience, your continued belief in our mission, and your unwavering commitment to empowering these remarkable young women.
With gratitude,

Let’s Share Our Blessings — And Help Them Rise

Meet Sesen and Telka — two visually impaired young women from rural Ethiopia. Against all odds, they’re now university students. And they’re just 2 of 30 girls we support each month through EthioGBFF.

Each stipend helps cover hygiene products, transportation, school supplies — and offers them dignity, stability, and hope.

But our funding is uncertain — and every month we ask: how long can we keep going?

If you’ve been blessed with opportunity, this is your chance to extend that blessing forward.

"Educating a young woman is educating the future."
Let’s lift these girls higher — and build the Ethiopia we all want to see.

30 Students. 30 Dreams. One Promise. Keep It Alive.

No Cakes. No Cards. Just Education.

Yesterday, we deposited this month’s stipends into the accounts of 30 bright young women in rural Ethiopia.
Today is my birthday.

This year, I’m not asking for cards or cake. My only birthday wish is simple and powerful:

Help us fund next month’s scholarships for these 30 future leaders.

Each $45 stipend covers:

Transportation to and from university

Hygiene supplies and school materials

Dignity, stability, and academic confidence

We support students like:

Sesen – Visually impaired, raised by a single mother, studying Social Science at Wollo University

Teleka – Visually impaired, daughter of a poor farmer, studying Social Science at Weldiya University

Zerfe – From a low-income household, now studying Engineering

These young women are resilient, ambitious, and ready to change their communities — but they need your help to stay in school.

Why EthioGBFF?

100% volunteer-run. No salaries. No overhead.

Direct monthly deposits to each student.

Transparent and accountable — View our financials and Candid profile
