Everyone knows firsthand that life is messy and painful,
beautiful and unpredictable. The endless practice is
keeping our heart open to the whole of it.

Wednesday Reminders:
A Camino prayer
May I walk this day
in the realm of grace,
walking with You
my feet firmly on your earth-path,
my heart loving all as kindred,
my words and deeds alive with justice.
May I walk as blessing,
meeting blessing at every turn in every challenge, blessing,
in all opposition, blessing,
in harm’s way, blessing.
May I walk each step in this moment of grace,
alert to hear You
and awake enough to say
a simple Yes.

Over 400 of us gathered under beautiful skies for this year’s OLP Butterfly Release! 🦋
It was a deeply moving day of unity, remembrance, and community as we honored and celebrated the cherished lives of those no longer with us in earthly form. Seeing hundreds of butterflies take flight together was a breathtaking reminder of love that endures.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and shared their memories with us. And a huge shoutout to our incredible staff whose dedication made this unforgettable event possible. ❤️

Wednesday Reminders
If you want to see brave,
look for those who can forgive.
if you want to see the heroic.
look at those who can love in return for hatred.

Wednesday Reminders:
I know, you never intended to be in this world. But you’re in it all the same.
So why not get started immediately.
I mean, belonging to it. There is so much to admire, to weep over.
And to write music or poems about. Bless the feet that take you to and fro. Bless the eyes and the listening ears. Bless the tongue, the marvel of taste. Bless touching.
You could live a hundred years, it’s happened. Or not. I am speaking from the fortunate platform of many years, none of which, I think, I ever wasted. Do you need a prod? Do you need a little darkness to get you going? Let me be as urgent as a knife, then, and remind you of Keats, so single of purpose and thinking, for a while, he had a lifetime.

Oh, Bailey! 🐾 ❤️

Today marks a bittersweet farewell to one of OLP’s beloved therapy dogs. For years, Bailey and his mom, Mary, have brought so much light, comfort, and warmth to our patients, families, and staff. Bailey with Mom & Dad came to say goodbye.

Whether it is a gentle wag of his fluffy tail, his sweet smile, or resting his floppy ears on a lap or bed just to let you know he is there, Bailey always knows exactly when someone needs a little extra love.

Thank you for all the precious memories, sweet boy. You will be missed more than words can say. 🦴✨ Until we meet again!
