Meet June Creative of the Month - Auncle Bee

Bee is a multimedia artist and crafter based in the Twin Cities. After many years in a high control religion, they found their artistic voice along with their freedom, so much of their art is entwined with the concept of joy as resistance. From collage to kandi to crochet, their work features distinctive rainbows and intricate patterns, often with a political message. They also create tutorials for the next generation of crafters, which can be found on their youtube channel.

Valentina, is a twin-cities based artist. She like to express myself through many different mediums, through paintings, jewelry, prints, and more!

Currently she is working on a Landscape piece for my upcoming show Pancakes and Booze at Granada Theater. She was inspired seeing the architecture in Chicago when she visited. Her newest piece is dedicated to the Windy City!

MiracleArts and CanCan Wonderland are partnering for a youth fashion show Sunday, August 16th The theme will be “Fashion in Film.” Designers are encouraged to pull inspiration from their favorite film or television show

We are currently looking for designers ages 15-21 to be featured in the show. Sign up form in bio.💜

Every Sunday we featured a different Minnesota Creative, this week we are happy to introduce

Taylor is a Minneapolis Painter and Curator she uses acrylic paint and collected ephemeral materials on and into canvas.

Her first solo exhibition, Inside Voices, curated by Camden Stevens, was held at Schmidt Landmark Gallery in Saint Paul. This show highlighted domestic spaces and repeating patterns as a way to consider how social behaviors reverberate across time. She had her work in this year’s University of Minnesota BFA exhibition, From All Sides, at the Katherine E. Nash Gallery from April 28th - May 9th. I had new paintings for this show, and I am incredibly excited to share them for the first time alongside amazing work from my BFA cohort!

happy make something monday yall - this past sunday we got the opportunity to share our resource guide, make connections, and display some artwork! it was such a fun time getting to see the community come together to share our creative passions.
