🏆 Big congratulations to our top three MN State Envirothon teams! 🏆

Yesterday, 23 teams and more than 125 students competed for one spot at the National Envirothon.

Taking home 1st place is Team Hopkins! 🥇 They are heading to the NCF-Envirothon this summer to compete with thousands of brilliant future conservationists from around the globe. Let’s wish them the best of luck!

The state Envirothon is almost here! This hands-on environment and natural resources competition gives students the chance to test their knowledge while building real-world skills. Supported by MASWCD, area competitions bring together teams from across the state, and top teams can advance to the national competition!

Last year, 112 students across 22 teams competed at the state level. We are excited to see this year’s teams in action. Good luck to everyone competing!

Happy fishing opener, Minnesota! 🎣 Today marks the 78th Minnesota Governor’s Fishing Opener in Stillwater along the St. Croix River.

This tradition celebrates our state’s outdoor culture and fishing opportunities. Maintaining healthy habitats for recreation is part of why locally led conservation is a win-win. 2026 is an election year — now’s the time to get involved. The filing period runs May 19 through June 2 at 5 p.m., with the general election on November 3, 2026.

This cohort of 13 is learning from experienced industry professionals, building new strategies and gaining a well-rounded experience to grow as effective, forward-thinking leaders.
