Embracing the rich artistic culture of the Twin Cities, our theatre not only works within the academic setting, but extends into the environments surrounding it. Outside endeavors for students include guest artists and performers, as well as performance and internship opportunities in area theatres. The Anne Simley Theatre’s long past influences our present productions, encouraging students and sta
ff to uphold our history of dramatic experimentation. In 1930, Hamline’s theatre program began with a $150 budget and a platform stage. Now in our 87th season, we have expanded to include an in depth work study program, TV and recording studios, a script library, and a modern proscenium stage. On this page you will find news about upcoming shows, auditions, and more!
