ComoFest ends with a flurry this Saturday, July 27. First, it's TopLine Federal Credit Union's Community Appreciation Picnic from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., featuring hot dogs, treats and games. Then take Como Park's "shortest marathon" across Lexington Parkway to Gabe's Mini Mingle, where you’ll find miniature golf, mini-donuts, a mini-beer-tasting festival, and music from 1-5 p.m.

Yeah, there’s ice cream and music and bubbles and face-painting and Shakespeare at tonight’s District 10 Ice Cream Social. But there’s also the ComoConnect resource zone, which gives you the opportunity to connect with two dozen community organizations, find resources, figure out where to share your skills, and even learn a few things. It all happens in and around the Historic Streetcar Station, 1224 Lexington Parkway N, from 5:30-8 p.m. It's all free.

This Friday, on July 12, District 10's Ice Cream Social kicks off ComoFest -- the annual amalgamation of affordable, family friendly fun in the neighborhood. Then on Saturday, it's the ComoFest Art Fair and the first-ever Pollinator Garden Tour.

The Como Community Council's annual Ice Cream Social launches 2019's ComoFest this Friday, July 12. The free event features ice cream, kids activities, music, Shakespeare in the Park, and a ComoConnect resource zone, which gives you the opportunity to connect with two dozen community organizations, find resources, figure out where to share your skills, and even learn a few things. Hope to see you Friday from 5:30-8 p.m. in and around the Historic Streetcar Station.

ComoFest 2018 wraps up this weekend with another triple-header. Friday, it’s the Northwest Como Recreation Center Movie Night and Campout, featuring an outdoor showing of the 2017 version of “Beauty and the Beast” and a lot more. Saturday, it’s TopLine Federal Credit Union’s Community Appreciation Picnic from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Como Park’s shortest marathon at 1:15 p.m., which takes you straight to Gabe's By The Park for its first Mini-Mingle, from 1-5 p.m. Get all the details at www.comofest.org.

On Friday, July 20, it's Lyngblomsten's Mid-Summer Festival from 2-8 p.m. at the campus between Midway Parkway and Almond Ave. On Saturday, it's the Block Nurse Program's ComoFest 5K Walk/Run for Everyone, beginning at 8 a.m. outside the Lakeside Pavilion. It's almost here! ComoFest 2018 launches on Friday the 13th with District 10's Ice Cream Social from 5:30-8 p.m., then Movie Night at North Dale Recreation Center, with a free outdoor showing of "Coco" at 9 p.m. Events are rain or shine -- but we all know the rain will be gone by then.
