We raised $37,000! Thank you to everyone who walked, ran and cheered at the emPower Her 5K on July 25 at Como Lakeside Pavilion.

These funds help us reach more women across the state through Confidence Coaching, Confidence Kits and the Positive Network of Support as we work toward economic mobility.

A huge thank you to our friends at Mortenson for being our Premier Sponsor of the emPower Her 5K and for showing up in person to support the day!

Their crew led our first ever Bend and Stretch warm up, getting everyone moving and energized before the walk/run kicked off. It was such a fun addition to the morning and a great reminder of how much heart goes into a partnership like this.

A very big thank you to all of our generous donors and amazing volunteers who made a donation day possible this past weekend!

We thank all of our amazing community members who come together to help us support women on their journey to success. Every donation helps us provide confidence kits to our growing population of clients. As July comes to a close, we're reflecting on Disability Pride Month and the women in our community whose careers are shaped by living with a disability.

For many of our clients, a disability affects not just the job search itself but confidence walking into an interview, comfort in professional attire, and access to the coaching and support that helps a career take root. Our holistic model exists for exactly this reason. Confidence Coaching, Workplace Attire, and a Positive Network of Support are built to meet each woman where she is, not to fit her into a single mold.

Economic mobility only means something if the path to it is accessible to everyone pursuing it. We're grateful for every woman who has trusted us with her career journey this month.

Today is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.

Survivors of trafficking often face the same barrier that stands between so many women and a stable future: the lack of a clear path back into the workforce. At Dress for Success Twin Cities, we believe economic mobility is one of the strongest tools for lasting independence and safety.

Through Workplace Attire, Confidence Coaching, and a Positive Network of Support, we walk alongside women as they rebuild their careers and their confidence, no matter where their journey started.

In case you missed it, July 9 marked Black Women's Equal Pay Day, the date that shows how far into the year Black women must work to earn what their white male counterparts earned the previous year alone.

The majority of the women we serve are Black and brown women navigating this exact gap. That's why equity isn't an add-on to our work, it's built into how we operate, from who we hire and partner with to how we design our programs. Workplace Attire and Confidence Coaching are two small pieces of leveling a playing field that isn't level yet. Walking into an interview dressed with confidence removes one barrier so a woman's skills and experience can speak for themselves.

We remain committed to economic mobility for every woman we serve, and closing the pay gap is part of that work.
