Happy ! Girl empowerment is possible thanks to our coaches’ wholehearted dedication. Every practice, they instill joy and create spaces of belonging. Even on challenging days, they show up and lead with compassion to support their teams as they develop the skills they need to thrive. Wow! What an inspiring weekend! We had 21 incredible SoleMates participate in Twin Cities Marathon Weekend — along with dozens of other amazing coaches, friends, and community members. 🧡

Whether you ran, cheered, or stopped by to say hi, thank you for making this weekend so wonderful. And a HUGE thank you to our friends at for their hard work, heart, and hospitality.

5K buddies play an important role in ensuring our event is joyful, safe, and celebratory! Buddies can be a girl’s parents, relatives, teachers, friends – any trusted adult she already knows.

We have three 5Ks coming up this fall:

Mother River is one of seven short films we're screening at the No Man's Land Film Festival on October 8. Directed by , this film follows Devin Brown's journey toward becoming the first Black woman to solo kayak the Mississippi from source to sea.

Give a warm welcome to our fall intern, Sophie Mack! If you attended our Luncheon in April, you may recognize Sophie as the inspiring recipient of our 2026 Alumni Award 💕

Sophie uses her many talents to empower girls and women, serving as an instructor at Girls Dream Code and a coach with GOTR MN. A recent graduate of the University of Minnesota, we're honored to be a part of her next chapter and excited to see her star power shine in this new role. 💫
