The Cesar Chavez Street Renaming Committee has been clear and committed from the beginning: this process should center all community perspectives. Narrowing these perspectives into a final decision is a responsibility they are approaching with great care and consideration. Unfortunately, bureaucracy has a way of forcing timelines onto things that deserve care. That is why they will be taking the time needed to fully consider feedback on the finalist names that emerged from last month’s community input sessions.

New dates and times will be announced soon. Find them here on our WSCO social media and on our website at wsco.org/streetrenaming.
