With Time Runs Out …..
Lawmakers and Governor Tim Walz have come to an agreement to call a special session of the Minnesota Legislature.
The special session is needed because lawmakers failed to finish their work before the mandated May 19th deadline. Both chambers will meet over the weekend to work on giving the bills their final readings before gaveling in at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9th.
Only the bills agreed to may pass. They include the hot button issue in the House of Representatives, modifying state health insurance benefits for undocumented immigrant adults.
House Bills:
Health and Human Services Policy and Appropriations (and children and families)
Human Services Appropriations, which is different from the first bill
Commerce and Consumer Protection Policy and Appropriations
Education Policy and Appropriations
Transportation Finance and Policy
Capitol Investment
Taxes and Local Aids
Data Center
Senate Files:
Environment and Natural Resources Appropriations
Economic Development Policy and Appropriations
Higher Education Policy and Finance
Energy, Utilities, Environment and Climate Policy and Appropriations
Technical Revisor Corrections
