I want to thank this community for your kind notes, prayers, and expressions of support during this season of transition and deep loss.

For more than 25 years, Sofia Ardalan and I were colleagues here at the Choir School - first as instructors, and later as Director and Assistant Director. It has been a true joy to partner in nurturing generations of young people as they developed a love of music, deepened their faith, and found a lasting connection to our church community.

Sofia’s impact on the Choir School is immeasurable, and I am profoundly grateful for the years we shared in this meaningful work.

As we move forward, I am honored and humbled to continue this mission of music, faith, and community as Director of the Choir School.

Thank you again for your trust, your encouragement, and your commitment to the House of Hope Choir School. I am excited for what lies ahead and grateful to continue this journey with all of you.

Be fierce, be bold, be MN Pride! This Saturday at 's House of Hope Park, we are celebrating with a mini-festival from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Create your own Pride cape to wear at Pride events all month long—and beyond.

The Motet Choir has been preparing a memorial concert these past months.
The concert will be here at House of Hope, on April 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

In her final weeks and months, Sofia wrote an outline of her wishes for any memorials. Since "The Lord Bless You and Keep You" by John Rutter was one of her favorites, she requested that it be included in her memorial concert.

We would love to have as many alumni who knew and loved Sofia be a part of this event. We will gather at 1:00 on the day of the concert to run through the piece, and then during the concert folks can come up and join the Motet Choir at the front of the sanctuary to sing together and honor our teacher, mentor, and friend.

The Motet Choir is giving a concert in Sofia's memory on April 18. We hope to see you there!
