Help support our Diaper Drive for Rutha!
Here is her story: "At 29 years old, I was already carrying the weight of being a single mom, doing everything on my own and trying to survive hard times that never seemed to let up. So when I found out I was pregnant again in 2025, I was overwhelmed. It wasn’t planned, and all I could think about was how I could barely afford the life I already had for my first child. I didn’t want to struggle all over again, and I definitely didn’t want another child to grow up watching me barely make ends meet.
I scheduled appointments at Planned Parenthood, convincing myself it was the only realistic decision. But the day of the appointment, I arrived early and sat in my car fighting tears and guilt. Deep down, I didn’t think I could go through with the procedure again. I remember crying so hard that I asked to reschedule because I wasn’t ready.
Eventually, I drove away feeling lost and emotionally exhausted.
As I pulled out of the parking lot, I noticed people standing outside with pamphlets and flowers trying to get my attention, but I shook my head and kept driving. Then I stopped at a red light, and for some reason I looked over to the right. There was a woman (a sidewalk counselor with Pro-Life Action Ministries) standing there with a rose in her hair. She gently offered to talk to me. Something about her felt safe, so I said yes.
When the light changed, she actually crossed over just to come speak with me at my car. She didn’t have to do that, but she did. She introduced herself as Lynn and kindly asked what I was going through. She asked if I had gone through with the procedure, and the moment she did, I completely broke down. I admitted that I didn’t know what to do anymore.
That conversation changed something in me.
Today, I am 30 weeks pregnant, and although the journey hasn’t been easy, I’m grateful I met Lynn that day. Through every conversation, every kind word, and every bit of support she gave me, she reminded me that there are still genuinely good people in this world. During one of the hardest moments of my life, a stranger chose compassion, and that compassion made a lasting difference in my story."
To lighten her burdens and show her the love of the Pro-Life Action Ministries community, please help us bless her by diapering her baby girl for the first 2 years with the best quality and valued diapers on the market from the pro-life company, Everylife. Every dollar donated for Rutha goes directly to diapering supplies.
