It was a bright night for downtown Saint Paul last evening!

The relighting of the iconic First National Bank sign is more than the return of a landmark; it's another sign of the momentum and optimism building in our city.

It also marks a milestone for Greater Saint Paul BOMA. We're proud to welcome the First National Bank team back to our membership after many years away. It was a pleasure celebrating with Rick Rossi as we recognized both the building's history and its future.

Today, our hearts are with the families, friends, and coworkers of those whose lives were taken in Monday’s tragic shootings at a Saint Paul apartment community.

Those of us in commercial and multifamily real estate know that buildings are more than bricks and mortar: they are workplaces, homes, and communities. The people who welcome residents, manage properties, provide maintenance, and serve tenants deserve to be able to do their jobs safely.

Our industry is built on people. As we grieve with our colleagues across the property management community, we reaffirm our commitment to safe, welcoming places for everyone who lives, works, and visits our buildings.

We mourn the lives lost, stand with everyone affected by this tragedy, and are deeply grateful to the first responders and investigators who answered the call.
