Thank you to all who joined elections on Monday night! We have exciting news to share!

The new officers are:
Archon - Kelli Richard
Vice - Thea Velic
Bursar - Tori Seymour
Scribe - Mackenzie Sedlack

We have also added 13 new dues-paying members since the last dues announcement, which is fantastic!

We will be scheduling an officer transition very soon to get the new leaders up to speed so they can move forward with the chapter.

Congratulations to our new officers!! And special thank you to others who stepped up and ran for positions to help keep the chapter moving!

Good Evening Sisters,
This post contains information about paying dues in order to participate in the upcoming election!

"Since we waived dues for 20-21 year due to COVID, there is not a "good" way to determine who is in good standing to vote. Therefore we have decided to open the dues portal for prepayment of 21-22 dues. If you have paid in the past, you are considered grandfathered in, however, if you want to become a new member, please pre-pay your dues either by credit card on our square site or via check. We will continue them at $50 and consider a refund if we end up not being able to do events at all again. The good news is, if you prepay now, you won't have to pay again until August 2022.....which is forever from now.
- Credit Card: phi-sigma-sigma-twin-cities-alumnae-chapter.square.site/
- Check: Payable to: PSS Twin Cities Alum Chapter
Mail to: Rachel King, 5802 Vincent Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55410
Hint: If you are running for an officer position, you should probably pay dues 🙂
Let me know if you have any questions!
Rachel"

Hello Sisters!
Below is a copy of the email that was sent out from our Alumnae Chapter Bursar, Rachel H King regarding dues information. Please read it through and let us know if you have any questions.

"Hi Members and Prospective Members -
I wanted to give a little more information on Alum Chapter dues as we approach our "special election". Normally dues for the year are $50 due in May time frame. For the 2020-2021 year, we suspended dues, largely because of the pandemic and not being able to hold the normal events we would have (which is what we spend the majority of the dues on). Hopefully we can resume activities this summer in some capacity which may be a lower price for 2021-2022 (to be determined by the new Bursar and E-board).
Why pay dues?
1. You must pay dues to be an official member.
2. Because they are a very affordable $50/year or less
3. Because just like your collegiate local dues, we can do more with our resources pooled together than we can apart. It enables us to provide and pay for bigger and better events, helps support our local chapter, Iota Zeta, through Founder's Day, alum events sponsorship and donations/gifts, and helps to support the Foundation.
4. You also can vote and help us shape the chapter.
5. If we don't have a minimum number of dues paying members, we won't have an alum chapter 🙁
What if I'm not sure?
If you are wondering what being a member is like before you pay, we are starting a new policy this year that allows you to come to two free events and "try it out" first. Hopefully, you find it as fun as we do! If you still are on the fence after your two free events, no problem, we will be charging a $10 fee/event, plus any additional costs, to help us pay for the overhead and help us have bigger events for you to enjoy!
How do I pay dues?
There are two easy ways to pay dues via credit card or check. Our next post will have information on how to pay dues.
Questions?
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
We would really love to have you be a member and welcome any input or suggestions you have! Help us to be the best alum chapter we can be!
Thanks, Rachel"

Good Evening Sisters,
We are pleased to announce that we received enough nominations for officer positions to move forward with elections!
Below is a general update on the next steps of our chapter in order to keep you all in the loop.
1) We've reach out to the nominees and current officers to determine a date for elections that works best for most of us.
2) We have sent out an informational email about how to pay dues if you'd like to become a dues-paying member (The next post in this group will have this information as well).
*Reminder* - You must be a dues-paying member to hold an officer position and/or in order to vote in elections
3) We will announce the elections date through our email group and in this Facebook group- elections will be held via Zoom
Anyone who is eligible to vote but unable to attend elections live will be encouraged to submit an electronic vote in advance
We're planning to put together informational bios about each nominee that can be sent out in advance to dues-paying members prior to elections
4) We'll hold elections and then start officer transition
Please let us know if you have any questions - more information to come on the items above!
LITP,
Dani, Paige, Rachel & Laura

It was a beautiful day for our Dog Park and Brewery event. The pups had a blast running around and making new friends as we enjoyed strolling around the park in the sunshine. We cooled off at a brewery with some beers out on the patio.
