Here's a clip from a beautiful film on human connection with nature. I pulled it because it highlights one of the unique features of human centered learning. Most wholistic theories of learning recognize the physical and psychological dimensions of learning. Some recognize the spiritual dimension. But learning is a social activity and most people never receive instruction on how to form positive healthy relationships. My research shows that, in fact, the skills to form relationships with other humans may be the most important part of learning something new.
