Wingspan Life Resources is a nonprofit organization serving adults and youth with developmental disabilities

Wingspan Life Resources is seeking warm and caring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for Part Time, Full Time, and On Call shifts providing services to people with developmental and other disabilities in our group homes in Minneapolis, Saint Paul and the surrounding metro area. Experience is not required and paid training is provided.

We were honored to be chosen by 5 credit union branches as service partners for this year’s CU Kind Day! These amazing teams spent Monday morning beautifying the yards at 6 Wingspan group homes.

These teams worked with dedication to service and kindness in their hearts, and empowered people impacted by disabilities to enjoy bright and clean outdoor spaces this fall.

Our annual celebration with the B**r Choir Twin Cities and Dual Citizen Brewing is coming up this Saturday, 10/17! Those who have joined us in years past know it's not all fun and song- there are also RAFFLES!

A fun trip to Spirit Halloween got everyone’s spooky wheels turning. The individuals from our Skycroft home are dreaming up costume ideas for this year—and next year, too!

The sun was shining, the music was playing, and our community came together for another unforgettable Made in the Shade Walk, Run & Roll!

Friends, families, staff, sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and supporters joined us for a beautiful day of connection, celebration, and fun. From the walk, run, and roll to the art contest, live entertainment, miniature horses, burgers, and time spent together, there were countless moments that reminded us what makes this event so special.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, donated, shared our mission, or cheered participants on throughout the day. Your support helps create opportunities for the individuals we support to learn, connect, grow, and thrive.

Congratulations to two outstanding Wingspan artists for their award-winning artwork!

Asha from our Clinton home earned 3rd Place in the Assisted Category with her imaginative robot creation, inspired by COMPAS teaching artist Jan Elftmann's Moving Art Contraption class.

Cassie from our 76th Street home earned both 2nd Place and 3rd Place in the Unassisted Category for her beautiful floral piece featuring her original poem, Bloom Into Yourself, and her life-size replica of Marcus the Worm.

We're so proud of their creativity, dedication, and willingness to share their talents with the community.

More details are coming to life in our aluminum embossing class with COMPAS teaching artist Teresa Cox!

During our latest session, participants focused on adding definition to their embossing and debossing designs, bringing even more depth and texture to their creations. Once everyone was satisfied with their work, the designs were carefully cut out and received their first coats of paint.

It's exciting to see each piece take shape, and everyone's artwork is coming along beautifully. We look forward to adding more layers of paint and completing these projects this week before moving on to a collaborative group project.

Just visit www.gertensfundraising.com and enter code 780 to access Wingspan's fundraising site. The site will close on Monday, October 26th.

Wingspan will receive 30% of all plant sales and 15% of all plant card sales, with all proceeds going toward repairs and accessibility needs at our 37 group homes, as well as yard beautification efforts; supplying the gloves, tools, mulch and flowers that allow volunteers to brighten the season for our persons-served!
