Minnesota VFW State Commander Charles Hawkins, Sr. and Minnesota VFW Auxiliary Department President Jean Keogh welcomed VFW and Auxiliary members from across the state this afternoon at the reception held in their honor at VFW Post 9625 in C**n Rapids.

State Commander Hawkins, President Keogh, and Post Commander Jeremy Hinton welcomed the many attendees.

Standing rules fall in the hierarchy of organizational rules below Bylaws and above customs.

The producers invite the Veterans, Service Members, First Responders, and families to join us for this free Brothers After War Movie & Seminar Experience at AMC Rosedale 14 in Roseville.

This is much more than a movie screening. Following the award-winning documentary Brothers After War, Veterans and their families come together for a facilitated conversation about service, transition, identity, loss, purpose, connection, and life after war. It is an experience that some Veterans have told us changed their lives.

Over the past 15 years, we have brought this work to more than 60,000 Service Members, Veterans, and their families. Based on our participant surveys and published research, 97% say they would recommend the experience to other military families.

After the conclusion of this year's VFW National Convention, some members mistakenly believe that the Post Relief Fund requirement has been removed. This is not correct.

The Minnesota VFW Charitable Association is a 501(c)(3) public charity created by the Minnesota VFW in 2013 to help support veterans and veteran-serving organizations.

Did you know it can help your Post, Auxiliary, or District with passthrough donations? The Charitable Association can:

• Receive a donation from a business, foundation, or other organization that only gives to 501(c)(3) charities—and forward 100% of that donation to your Minnesota VFW Post, Auxiliary, or District.

• Accept a donation from your Post or Auxiliary and forward it to another eligible recipient such as your District, the Department of Minnesota VFW (or Auxiliary), the Military Order of the Cootie (or its Auxiliary), or another organization that benefits veterans.

Every passthrough donation is reviewed to ensure it supports one or more of the Charitable Association's charitable purposes.
