Volunteer Highlight🌟

Interfaith Action is beyond grateful for the leadership of St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Last week, in the space of ninety minutes, eight STLC folks removed carpet from rooms destined to be renovated into our Department of Indian Work food shelf, mattresses from a room that needs to be redone for a new family at Project Home, and cleared a storage room that will make it possible to set up our children's room in time for the school year.

We are so grateful for everyone who participated in this year's School Tools drive and distribution📓💚

Each year the faith communities of Saint Paul step up to make sure students across the east metro have what they need for success in school. This year, we had 25 faith communities, plus individuals and businesses, step up to offer thousands of dollars to supplies to families served by Project Home, the Department of Indian Work, Career Pathways, Project Reach, Emma Norton Services, and Corner House.

Deepest gratitude to Saint Paul's UCC for hosting the event again this year and helping make the magic happen!

It's officially been 365 days of Project Home at 1010 Bandana🎉

A huge thanks to all of our amazing partners, volunteers, and supporters who have filled the last year with positivity, potential, and fun! With your support we have made this former hotel into a home. From stocking our library to moving mattresses, we could not have gotten to where we are today without you, and we aren't done yet!

We can't wait to see where the next 365 days take us, and we are so grateful for the amazing folks we get to walk alongside during this journey. Lead the way!

Join us in welcoming Jody Emmings as Interfaith Action’s new Chief Executive Officer🌟

This past January, the Interfaith Action Board of Directors named Jody as Interim CEO as they underwent a thoughtful transition planning process and executive search. During this time, Jody, who joined Interfaith Action as Chief Program Officer in January 2025, provided not only steady leadership of the team and continuity of services, but also immersed herself deeply in the organization’s history, culture, and multifaceted partnerships, understanding and honoring this heritage and preparing to meet future community needs.

Through this dedication to energetic leadership and strategic decision-making, Jody showcased her truly innovative and collaborative spirit; and her connection to the community has proven essential during a time of significant challenge and change. All of these factors led the Board to wholeheartedly embrace Jody to be Interfaith Action’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Big thanks to River Hills United Methodist Church for working with IFA through I Heart Saint Paul - IFA's short-term small group service opportunity program👷

17 volunteers spent most of a week helping remove furniture, paint rooms, build shelves, and stock move-out supplies for families served through all Interfaith Action Programs. We are so grateful for the leadership of faith communities in service!

✨Juneteenth Summer Kickoff Party✨

Last Friday, we hosted our annual Project Home Juneteenth Celebration, our first at 1010 Bandana! This year's festivities included a bouncy house, yard games, freshly grilled burgers, face painting, bingo, and a visit from 🤩

We are so grateful to our outstanding Project Home staff and volunteers for their dedication (in the rain AND shine) to making an amazing day for our families. We can't wait to see what fun the rest of the summer will hold🧡

Career Pathways Graduation Ceremony🎓✨

Last Friday we gathered with CLUES to celebrate our graduates! Career Pathways presented 22 individuals with certificates of graduation, marking their completion of their CNA/Caregiver program track. We are so proud of all of the graduates and we cannot wait to see what they will accomplish as they continue to make an impact on the community💙
