Advocacy Day at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine 🏛️👣

In collaboration with APMSA and OHFAMA, future podiatrists came together to learn, engage, and advocate for the profession—amplifying the voice of podiatric medicine and strengthening connections within our field.

As an exciting surprise, Ohio Representative and Assistant Minority Leader Phil Robinson joined the day, sharing insights on the importance of advocacy in education and local government and engaging directly with students.

🏀 Sports Medicine Wednesday

George Niang Georges Niang suffered a 5th metatarsal fracture to his right foot in the third round of the 2014 March Madness tournament in the Iowa State vs North Carolina Central game.

Avulsion fractures are common fractures of the base of the 5th metatarsal when the ligament pulls part of the bone. These breaks are typically the result of an ankle roll and are treated with rest, ice, a walking boot, or crutches.
