Hello! Let’s meet our other Co-President of Psi Chi! Here is Andrea’s introduction!

“Hello! My name is Andrea Hitz. I am the current Co-President of Psi Chi. I am a graduating senior with a Major in psychology and a minor in statistics (if you plan to go into research after undergrad I highly recommend this minor!!). I am currently a TA for Psychology of Eating and a Lab Instructor for Gen Psych. I also have a research internship at the Minneapolis VA and I work in the after school program at St. Paul Academy. Next year I am taking a year off and working in research labs. I hope to pursue a PH.D. in Clinical Psychology but I am undetermined whether I want to become a practitioner or researcher. I am happy to be part of Psi Chi because I am a huge psychology nerd and I think academic psychology is basically the coolest thing ever!”

Hello!! Let’s meet our Diversity Officer & Social Media Coordinator.

“Hi! My name is Vi, and I am a senior psychology major. I am currently the Diversity Officer and Social Media Coordinator of St Kate's Psi Chi! This is my first time being on a board of an organization, and it has been such a different position of a leadership role. With my senior year schedule opening up, I had the opportunity to be a General Psych Lab Instructor and interning at Regions Hospital as a Mental Health Associate. My career of focus is APA's Division 17, Counseling Psychology, and I plan to continue my education after St. Kates. I am passionate about psychotherapy, mental health, and counseling to aid patients and clients in their treatment plans. I plan to raise mental health awareness in BIPOC communities and decrease the stigma of mental illnesses by the intersectionality of my identity as an Asian Woman.

Fun fact about myself: I enjoy watching dramas, listening to music, and watching crash-course videos on topics ranging from human revolution to how drugs affect certain parts of the brain! “

Hello!! Let’s meet our Vice President, Elyse! Below is a little introduction!

“Hiya! My name is Elyse and I am a senior psychology major! I am the Vice President and Treasurer of Psi Chi this year and I am excited that I will be able to continue working with Psi Chi until I graduate in Fall 2021! Some of my other involvements in our St. Kate’s community include Co-President of OAKS Club, a Lab Instructor for Gen Psych, an Information Desk Assistant, and working with Dr. Gabrielle Filip-Crawford on research that began with Summer Scholars in 2020. I am passionate about bringing social psychology research to advancing pro-environmentalism and enhancing empirical evidence for ecofeminist theory. After St. Kate’s, I hope to continue this research to advance social and environmental justice by pursuing graduate school in social psych.”

Hello there! We would like to introduce to you one of our Psi Chi co-presidents, Megann! Here’s a little introduction 😁!

“Hey guys, gals, and non-binary pals! My name is Megann! I am a Psych ('21) major here at St. Kate's as well as one of our Psi Chi co-presidents. I was drawn to join Psi Chi my sophomore year as, not only does it build an invaluable Psychological community, but it also represents a lot of the same values/ethics I hold when it comes to psychological research. My goal is to help create educational environments that will allow students to prosper by researching neurodiversity in our schools and the coping mechanisms that go along with that. In my limited free time, I also enjoy listening to podcasts, working on various art projects, as well as trying out new recipes in the kitchen. Feel free to reach out to our Psi Chi email if you ever want to chat or learn more about the organization!”
