Today’s Supreme Court decision against transgender athletes hit us hard. It feels personal because it targets people who deserve joy, community, and the chance to compete without being treated like a problem to solve. We’re hurting, and we’re angry, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise.

Trans athletes belong in sports. They belong on teams. They belong in the stands. They belong in every space where people come together to play, grow, and support each other. This ruling tries to push them out, and we refuse to let that stand.

We are raising our voices because silence helps no one. We are standing with our trans family because that is what solidarity looks like. If you feel this in your chest the way we do, stay loud. Stay present. Stay committed. Change happens when people refuse to look away.

Juneteenth is a day to step back, listen, and honor a freedom that was fought for long after it should have been guaranteed. But, we don’t center ourselves today, we show up with respect. We show up with humility. We show up knowing that solidarity means doing the work, not claiming the spotlight.

Juneteenth is a reminder that liberation was delayed by design, and that the struggle for true freedom didn’t end in 1865. It’s carried forward by Black communities who kept pushing when the country tried to look away. Our role is to stand with that truth, not soften it.

We celebrate the joy. We honor the resilience. We commit to the work that’s ours to do.

We honor that fight by carrying it forward. We show up loud. We show up unshaken. We show up knowing that every person deserves to exist without fear, without apology, and without being told to shrink.

Pride is not decoration. Pride is defiance. Pride is choosing to live in full color when the world keeps trying to dim the lights.
