Thank you to everyone who came out on Wednesday and supported Global Running Day with Twin Cities In Motion and Neighborhood House. Together we logged 1,329 miles.

It was a beautiful day to spend in community and meet new neighbors. We’re grateful to everyone who participated and helped make the event such a success. We’re already looking forward to next year!

This summer you can support Neighborhood House while cheering on the St. Paul Saints Baseball! Purchase tickets to any July home game through the Neighborhood House link and $5 from your ticket will go directly toward supporting our programs and services. The organization that receives the most donations will get a special sponsorship night at CHS Field.

We’re excited to be partnering with Twin Cities in Motion for this fundraising event where people of all ages and abilities come together to connect, move, and make an impact. Participants can run, walk, or move at their own pace on a 5K loop. With sponsored fundraising for collective miles, every mile makes a difference. All funds raised will be split between Twin Cities in Motion and Neighborhood House.

At Neighborhood House, we believe community care starts with showing up for one another. We’re looking for volunteers to support our food programs and help make sure neighbors and families have access to fresh and healthy groceries.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• Grocery Packing and Loading with our Rapid Response program from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. and 12–3 p.m. on Tuesdays through Thursdays in May. These positions require bending, standing, and lifting. Sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0544A9AB2DA0FB6-62376758-weekday.
• Supporting the Food Market Welcome Desk at Montreal from 1–4 p.m. on Tuesdays and every other Wednesday. This position requires a basic understanding of computer tech.

Volunteering with Neighborhood House is about neighbors helping neighbors. Whether you can give a few hours or make an ongoing commitment, your support helps our community thrive.

Twin Cities In Motion is partnering with Neighborhood House for the 2026 Global Running Day on June 3, a 12-hour run/walk-a-thon featuring a 5K loop that welcomes all abilities and ages.

Join us for a day of celebration and movement; whether you walk, run, or move in whatever way feels right, every mile makes an impact. Every mile ran at this year's Global Running Day will be sponsored. All funds raised will be split between Neighborhood House and Twin Cities in Motion, which aim to build healthy and strong communities.

Visit Laundrette Laundromat on Tuesday, May 26, for their ArTuesday/Artes Martes event and enjoy a live performance by celloist Dante Carlson from 6-7 p.m.

Beautiful Launderette celebrates art on the last Tuesday of every month by inviting artists, musicians, and writers to share their work at the laundromat with free food and half-off washes from 5-8 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to join these community events, so bring a friend, enjoy some live music, and experience a night of art and community at the mat!
