NWACC Bicycle Technician Program

We'd like to welcome the newly appointed BIEA Accredited Bicycle Technician program instructor at Minneapolis College, Robert May.
Robert comes to Minneapolis College with thirty years of retail bicycle industry experience as a bicycle assembler, lead mechanic, service manager, and retail store founder and owner. Robert currently serves as the Owner and Mechanic at Red Barn Bicycles in Barhamsville, Virginia. Robert launched Red Barn Bicycles in 2012 after serving as Lead Mechanic and Service Manager at BikeBeat, an independent bike store in nearby Williamsburg, Virginia, for 12 years. In addition to operating his own shop, Robert taught the mechanical content in Cycling 101, a non-credit course established to encourage students, faculty, and staff to commute to campus via bicycle, at The College of William and Mary.

Robert is also a United States Army veteran having served as an infantryman from 1994-1997.
