We had a great time hosting a Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce 'Coffee's On' event yesterday morning. It was wonderful to connect with so many local business members and to showcase how Friends in Need (FiN) works to fight food insecurity in our community. Thank you to all who attended and for the donations of food items and paper goods. We look forward to partnering with you in the future. If you missed this great networking event, FiN is always happy to show you around our facility. Just contact us and we are happy to set up a tour!

Special thanks to Chamber President Laurie Levine for the opportunity to host a Coffee's Event and for all her hard work connecting businesses in our community. Together, we can make a difference!

We can never have enough! Please save your shopping bags and bring them to Friends in Need Food Shelf. Drop off at 535 4th Street, St. Paul Park. If after hours you can leave them in the blue donations barrel in the rear of the building.

We loved meeting the community members and talking about the resources we offer at the Public Health and Safety Summer Celebration last week!

What a fabulous community effort! Thanks to Marathon Petroleum St. Paul Park Refinery, Van Meter, Inc., the Cottage Grove Lion's Club, St. Luke's Lutheran Cottage Grove, and many community members, FiN was able to distribute almost 400 back packs filled with grade-appropriate school supplies. Children in St. Paul Park, Newport, Cottage Grove, and Grey Cloud Island are now prepared for a new school year!

Special shout out to Barb Koch and her son Sam for organizing the annual event!
