Martha Hudson was a SMAL member who willed that an annual watercolor show be held in her memory. And so, here we are at the St. Michaels Community Center celebrating Martha Hudson's Excellence in Watercolor Exhibit.

The watercolors were judged by Linda Lukas, an internationally recognized fine arts professional. Linda was born in Delaware and now lives in Annapolis. Interesting fact: Her largest commission was a 98 foot by 7-foot mural which took her 5 years to complete and is at the Association of Baptists Worldwide Evangelism.

Although The Blue Crab changed ownership this past year it continues to provide the St. Michaels Art League's membership with a lovely space and ambience to show off our artistic talents. It’s also a perfect place to grab some food.

For the month of December, two of our members are on show at The Blue Crab. It promises to be an outstanding display with Jane Anderson, a former President of the St. Michaels Art League and Rhonda Ford, a plein air artist who works with oils. The Exhibit will run through the month of December, rounding off a very successful year for our organization.

Note: many pieces of artwork are for sale. Should you be interested, ask to speak to Matt.

The Blue Crab is located at 102 South Fremont Street, St. Michaels, Maryland 21663. It is open every day from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Here is a sampling of what you will see.
