General Info: Cub Scouts are for boys 1-5th grade. Each age group is broken up into 'dens,' and our entire group is called a 'pack.' The Den meetings are up to the Den Leaders, but usually meetings are held 1-2 times a month while school is in session. Pack meetings, meetings with all the boys, are usually held monthly and often involve going on a trip, a party, or awards. Our parents and leaders
meet the first Wednesday of the month at 6pm at the library- all are encouraged to attend the committee meetings where we discuss upcoming meetings and trips. Over the summer we don't have meetings, but we will go on trips and meet for fun activities. Our ‘round up,’ a time to introduce interested boys to scouts, will be held in August but boys can join at any time. The yearly fee is $20, and parents are in charge of buying the uniforms. We do not, however, want to turn any boy away for financial reasons, so please speak with the Cub Master or Committee Chair for assistance. Since the boys work hard during our 2 yearly fundraisers, the pack pays for awards, prizes, belt loops, pins, and patches. Also, when we go on trips, the pack pays for each boy to go, plus usually one parent. I hope this answers some questions you might have, but please do not hesitate to contact us.
