We’re cohosting a Community Conversation on data centers with Kaw Valley Chamber of Commerce and you’re invited.
📅 June 3rd
📍 Armory in St. Marys
🕒 7pm
Data center development has quickly become one of the most talked-about—and yes, sometimes controversial—topics in our region. There are strong opinions on all sides, and for good reason.
This conversation isn’t about pushing a project forward or shutting one down. It’s about making sure our community is informed, prepared, and part of the discussion.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
• What a data center is (and isn’t)
• The potential benefits—investment, tax base, infrastructure
• The potential costs—land use, utilities, long-term impacts
• How the process works—what decisions are local, what’s set at the state level, and when the public has input
Most importantly, we’ll talk about this:
Our region is in the driver’s seat.
No project moves forward without local consideration, local input, and local decision-making.
If you’ve been curious, skeptical, supportive, or just want to learn more—this is the place to start.
We hope you’ll join us for a thoughtful, fact-based conversation.
