Giving Grace Farmers & Fishermen Co-Op Rebuilding the organic food chain to cancel hunger.

02/06/2026

We had some beautiful organically grown mustard greens, turnips, and green onions moving through our co-op.

Now they’re in the hands of a local food bank, helping bring fresh Louisiana produce to families in our community.

Just sharing a glimpse of how our farmers work together to help cancel hunger — one harvest at a time 🌱

Follow along as we continue to share the journey from the field to where it’s needed most.

Quick behind-the-scenes look at today’s fresh produce delivery 🌾💚

Walking through the harvest, packing, and prep process with our farmers as we get everything ready to head out. This is what local food in motion looks like — straight from Louisiana fields to families.

Grateful for everyone who makes this possible.

Always good day when it’s delivery day!

We so happy to see these beautiful fresh turnips find a happy plate somewhere local!

Comment if you agree.

Fresh delivery day 💚🌾

We collected and prepared produce from our farmers across Louisiana and delivered another round of fresh food to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.

Huge thank you to Brian for his leadership and coordination, and to the entire Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank for the work you do every single day serving our communities.

And of course, thank you to all of our farmers, fishermen, volunteers, and drivers who helped harvest, wash, pack, and load this food. Every box represents hard work and a shared commitment to helping cancel hunger in Louisiana.

Proud of what we’re building together.

🌱 A Walk Through One of Our Co-op Farms 🌱

Today, we’re sharing something special.

This video is a personal walkthrough from our co-op owner at Orphe Creole Farms, one of the many farms that make up the Giving Grace Farmers & Fishermen Cooperative. She’s showing her Low-Tunnels—made possible with USDA support—and how it allows fresh, organic produce to be grown year-round, right here in Louisiana.

This is what local food really looks like.
Not warehouses. Not long supply chains.
Just farmers, their land, and the care that goes into growing food the right way.

Low-Tunnels like this help our farmers extend growing seasons, protect crops, and deliver unparalleled freshness to families, restaurants, and communities we serve.

We’re proud to support farms like Orphe Creole Farms—and proud to keep building a stronger, more resilient local food system together.

🌱 A New Look, Same Roots

We’re excited to share our new logo for Giving Grace Farmers & Fishermen Cooperative.

The design reflects who we are and where we come from—the land and the water working together. It represents our farmers, our fishermen, and the shared responsibility we carry to feed our communities with integrity and care.

While the logo is new, our mission hasn’t changed. We’re still focused on supporting local producers, strengthening the rural food supply, and building something sustainable for the long term.

This mark is just one small step forward as we continue growing the cooperative and connecting more people to the food grown right here in South Louisiana.

Thanks for being part of the journey. More to come 🌾🐟

We’ve officially launched the Giving Grace Farmers & Fishermen Cooperative page, and we’re glad you’re here.

Giving Grace started with a simple idea:
*****What if local farmers and fishermen could work together to support one another and strengthen our local food supply?

Over the past several years, our farmers have collectively grown almost 1 million pounds of produce, supplying communities across the region. That experience showed us something important—we’re capable of more, and we’re ready for the next step.

Today, our cooperative brings together growers and fishermen from across South Louisiana—people who know the land, the water, and the work it takes to feed a community.

This page is where we’ll share:
📸 Stories from our farmers and fishermen
🌾 What’s growing and being harvested
🤝 New partnerships taking shape
🌱 How we’re working to help strengthen and fix gaps in the local food supply

This isn’t just about food. It’s about stewardship, collaboration, and making sure good food continues to reach the people who need it.

Thanks for being here and walking this journey with us. We’re just getting started.
