Magnolia Park has one of the best-known, scenic, and challenging disc golf 18-hole courses anywhere in the country. It's bordered on its east side by the Mother of all Cajun Waterways: Bayou Teche, which is how the Acadians reached this area west of the Atchafalaya Basin now known as Acadiana. Several statewide tournaments have been held here because it's such a challenging course. The main difficulty is the 500-year-old oak trees in the path of the thrown discs. “Achieving par here,” one visiting player has said, “is like throwing ten under par everywhere else.”

A 1.1 mile asphalt walking path circumnavigates Magnolia Park. As you walk or jog along, there are various exercise stops to stretch & use other strength-building machines to get a well-rounded workout.
